We would like to extend a warm welcome Grace Tennyson. Grace was selected as the 2015-2016 FPRA Pensacola Chapter Student Liaison. She will graduate from the University of West Florida with a communication arts degree, specializing in public relations, in April 2016.
As a student at the University of West Florida, Grace is active in several organizations: Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honors Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, the American Marketing Association, and Kappa Delta Sorority. While attending the university, Tennyson worked as a Resident Assistant in the Department of Housing and Residence Life, and currently is employed as a Career Peer for the Department of Career Services. She has had the opportunity and enjoyment of serving on the Dean of University College Search Committee, the Undergraduate Student Staff Selection Committee, and as a Recruitment Counselor for the College Panhellenic Council.
Grace is from Irvine, California and enjoys spending time with her friends.
The revised APR Study Guide will be available January 2016. According to Kathy Mulvihill, senior manager for Accreditation at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the current test information will be used in the new version, so the current study material is still valid. The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) percentages tested will change and the learning objectives names will change and be combined. See the 2016 KSA Blueprint.
We would like to thank all of the generous businesses that have donated to our 2015 Silent Auction Gala. Join us on Wednesday, April 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Al Fresco in downtown Pensacola for free drinks, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes and of course some great silent auction items!
