FPRA's 76th Annual Conference will provide four days (Aug. 10-13) of exemplary professional development and networking for practitioners across the state. The beautiful Wyndham Grand Orlando at Bonnet Creek is this year's host site. Registration has been set at $695 for members and the registration deadline is July 18.
Ed Barker is the media operations director for the Naval Education and Training Command, responsible for the media liaison and products released in support of the Navy's initial training and voluntary educational efforts. A Navy brat and former active-duty Navy public affairs officer, Barker has been stationed in Pensacola several times throughout his career. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism/broadcasting from the University of Florida and a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College.
