Message from the President:

Michael English

September 2, 2011-

Welcome to the new year! September 1 marks the beginning of a new FPRA year, which means not only a new year, but also a new board of directors. During last month’s chapter meeting your new, and very enthusiastic, board of directors was installed. Let me tell you, we are excited and energized to serve you this year. We are expecting this year to be a year of fun, growth and “connectedness”.

During our last chapter meeting I announced that the theme for our 2011-2012 year is “Connected”. This means that our goal this year is to have our membership more connected… more connected to FPRA, more connected to our profession and more connected with each other as a membership.

Last week I met with the board of directors to begin planning and discussing the year. The meeting yielded so many great ideas and opportunities that I came out of the meeting completely excited to get to work! And now, it’s time to bring these ideas to life.

This year you can look forward to plenty of opportunities to network, grow and get involved with FPRA. It’s going to be an active year with lots to do and lots of fun to be had. I encourage you to dig in, get involved and get your hands dirty this year!

Be on the lookout for development opportunities and social events, because they are on their way!

Thank you for being a part of the Pensacola Chapter of FPRA and for your dedication and passion for the field of public relations. I am looking forward to serving you and to having a very connected year!

Warmest regards,

Michael English
President
