We look forward to welcoming featured speaker, Jon Shell, Founder of Upward Intuition, to share insights on catalyzing the community and local government around a novel concept (a nearly million-dollar skate park in downtown Pensacola).
Jon Shell is a Pensacola native who graduated from the University of Central Florida, where he received degrees in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. Since graduation, he has returned to Pensacola to apply his passion and professional expertise towards enhancing his hometown. Since being home Jon has founded Upward Intuition, co-founded Jeff’s Corner Garden, and joined the team at Levin Rinke Realty.
The mission of Upward Intuition is to inspire and empower the next generations for a greater community. Their current project is the planning and development of a recently-approved community park underneath I-110. The park will be anchored with a world-class skatepark and will include activities and amenities for people of all ages and interests. The overarching goal is for the park to be the catalyst for the revitalization of the I-110 corridor that is the gateway into Pensacola’s downtown and waterfront.
How do you motivate and engage an entire community around a single, novel concept? How do you take a hobby once thought of as an act of rebellion and get city officials on board? Jon Shell is joining FPRA to tell us just that! He will discuss Upward Intuition and his vision to change what people think about when they think Pensacola. He leveraged partnerships and pounded the pavement to transform a simple plot of land into a bigger, brighter, more imaginative future.
